Yesterday, I participated in the #ADayWithoutImmigrants march. As a child of two immigrants, 45's recent attacks on other members of the immigrant and refugee community have really hit close to home. I marched in solidarity with immigrants and allies from all different backgrounds in Washington, D.C. to advocate for making D.C. a sanctuary city. The four hours I spent at the gathering and marching from Columbia Heights to the White House were filled with solidarity and made me even more proud to be a part of such a colorful, diverse, beautiful community.
