Have you ever seen molten lava bubbling, flowing, and crashing like waves in real life? Because I have. As of today. It is crazy to experience something in person that you have only seen reenacted in movies or stories. But to be that close, so close that I could see the bubbles popping... I seriously doubt that I will ever be that close to an active volcano again.
The first photos are from San Juan del Oriente where we visited Taller Escuela de Ceramica "Valentin Lopez". A master potter walked us through the process of creating the traditional ceramics. The second couple are from a view point from which we could see Laguna de Apoyo. And, the last ones are from our stop at the Massaya Volcano! We only have one week left here; two weeks have flown by so fast!
